At glasstec 2026 in Düsseldorf, we attended the world’s leading trade fair for the glass industry as guests. We were very open to having conversations and making new business contacts. We also wanted to see if this was the right place to showcase our software. MonitGlass is a system designed for flat glass processors and insulated glass manufacturers. We invite you to read on.

The Magnitude of glasstec 2026
Seven halls showcasing a wide variety of aspects of the glass industry. Entire production lines demonstrating the process from glass cutting, edge processing, drilling, to the placement of the glass by a robot. Anyone with a substantial budget looking to open or expand their processing plant will find everything they need at this trade show. The full list of exhibitors is available on the official glasstec website.

Organization of trade shows
The 7 halls were organized by theme into sections for processors, material suppliers, service providers, and accessories. Despite the sheer size of the event, the clear organization and structure made it easy for us to navigate between the halls and visit the areas that interested us most. We learned a lot about the possibilities of integrating MonitGlass with cutting tables, and we discussed monitoring machine wear and tear and receiving notifications about service or part replacements.
MonitGlass’s Goal at glasstec 2026
It was encouraging that we managed to make several business contacts and showcase our solution. The purpose of the trade show is networking the exchange of ideas and contacts and we made the most of our time there. We’re glad we took the plunge and went to this trade show. We feel that MonitGlass has a lot to offer the glass industry. Now it’s time to reflect, implement our strategy, and continue developing our system. We’re grateful to everyone we met at the trade show for their time and conversations.
Why This Fair Matters for Glass Processing Software
Walking through the halls, one thing stood out: machines are becoming smarter and more connected, yet many plants still plan production on spreadsheets and paper. The more automated a cutting line or an IG line becomes, the more it depends on accurate order data, clear priorities and real time feedback from the shop floor. That gap between modern machinery and the way work is planned is exactly where glass processing software makes a difference.
What MonitGlass Offers Flat Glass Processors
MonitGlass is ERP/MES software built for manufacturers of insulated glass units as well as laminated, tempered and monolithic glass. It covers the full path from quote to delivery:
- Analytics, you exactly see how much your glass plant earns you every day
- Order and quote management, from the first inquiry to delivery
- Production planning and scheduling across cutting, edge processing, tempering and IG assembly
- Real time production tracking with QR labels for full glass traceability
- Cutting optimization that reduces glass waste
- Laminated glass management, including layups and PVB interlayers
- Insulated glass assembly tracking: spacer frames, gas filling and pressing
- Transport and glass rack tracking
- A mobile app for a paperless shop floor
The conversations at glasstec 2026 confirmed that these are the topics glass processors care about most: knowing where every pane is, reducing remakes and keeping deliveries on schedule. Integration with cutting tables and machine wear monitoring were among the most interesting subjects we discussed, and they will shape how we continue developing the system.
